Blackouts / Dimouts
Blackout and Dimout Curtain Fabrics for Cruise Ships and Hotels
Andriali Contract manufactures blackout and dimout curtain fabrics in Türkiye for cruise ships, hotels, resorts and contract interiors. Our textiles are developed for professionally specified window treatments where daylight management, visual comfort and a refined interior appearance must work together.
Blackout and dimout describe different levels of light reduction. Blackout fabrics are designed to achieve complete or near-complete light exclusion when appropriately specified and installed, while dimout fabrics reduce incoming light without necessarily creating full darkness. Exact opacity, width, composition and performance vary by product.
The finished result also depends on curtain construction, lining, installation method and coverage around the window. Andriali works directly with designers, architects, specifiers, project managers and procurement teams to identify the appropriate textile and manufacture finished curtains tailored to the project.
When a collection fabric does not fully meet the brief, Andriali can manufacture bespoke colors and project-appropriate constructions. Our team supports the process from selection and sampling through manufacturing, quality control and delivery.
Double 5: An Exclusive Proprietary Blackout
Double 5 is manufactured exclusively by Andriali using our proprietary textile construction. Andriali is the only factory producing this distinctive Double 5 quality, making it unavailable from any other manufacturer.
Developed as one of the industry’s premium blackout textiles, Double 5 combines effective light control with a wonderfully luxurious, silky hand. Unlike blackout fabrics that can feel heavy or overly technical, it offers an elegant tactile quality suited to refined cruise and hospitality interiors.
Its washable construction provides an important practical advantage for high-use environments where appearance, maintenance and long-term performance must work together.
Applicable care instructions, opacity, technical performance and certification documentation are confirmed for the selected specification and intended application.
For cruise interiors, technical suitability and IMO compliance are confirmed for the selected textile and its intended application. Applicable performance testing is conducted through Intertek laboratories, with supporting documentation reviewed during specification.
